Getting Started

How quickly can I get started?

Within 24 hours. Setup takes about 5 minutes to connect your accounting software and payment provider. After that, you can immediately start adding Bitcoin payment links to your invoices.

Do I need technical knowledge?

No! The system is designed for business users, not developers. If you can use your accounting software, you can use payinbtc.me. 5-minute setup, zero crypto expertise required.

What happens after I submit the registration form?

We validate your details and email you an activation link. From there you connect your accounting software and Bitcoin payment provider, then add the payment link to your invoices. Most businesses are live within 24 hours.

Accounting Software & Integration

Do I need to change my accounting software to accept Bitcoin?

Absolutely not! That's the whole point of payinbtc.me. Keep using QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, Zoho, or whatever you use now. Your workflow stays exactly the same.

Is my accounting software supported?

Most likely yes. We support 11 accounting platforms including QuickBooks, Xero, Sage and Zoho. Check the integrations page or contact us if you don't see yours listed — we can help with custom integrations.

Bitcoin Payments & Providers

What payment providers work with payinbtc.me?

Can I accept payments internationally?

Yes, globally! Bitcoin is borderless. Accept payments from anywhere in the world without currency conversion fees, intermediary banks, or geographic restrictions.

How long does it take to receive Bitcoin payments?

Instant. Lightning Network payments settle in 1–5 seconds. On-chain Bitcoin takes about 10 minutes for confirmation. Either way, much faster than 2–7 business days for traditional payments.

What if my customers don't use Bitcoin?

No problem! Start with the pay-per-invoice plan (first 3 free). You only pay when customers actually use Bitcoin. Zero risk, zero commitment. Keep your existing payment methods alongside Bitcoin.

What about Bitcoin price volatility?

You're never exposed to it. When your customer clicks the payment link, we convert your invoice total to BTC at the current rate in real time. They pay the exact fiat amount in Bitcoin, so the figure on your invoice is what you collect.

How does reconciliation work?

You get an instant email notification the moment an invoice is paid in Bitcoin. Marking the invoice as paid in your accounting software is manual today; automatic reconciliation is on the roadmap for Q2 2026.

Pricing & Billing

What are the fees?

Transparent pricing: 1,500 sats/invoice (pay-per-use), 2,500 sats/month (unlimited), or 25,000 sats/year (unlimited). First 3 invoices are free. No hidden fees. You only pay standard Bitcoin network fees for transactions (~0.1% or ~$0.01 for Lightning).

Do I need to pay to register?

No. Registration is free with no credit card required. Your first 3 invoices are free and your first month is on us, so you can try Bitcoin payments before paying anything.

Which plan should I choose?

Start with pay-per-invoice (1,500 sats each) if you're testing the waters. Once you take 2+ Bitcoin payments a month, the monthly plan (2,500 sats) is cheaper, and the annual plan (25,000 sats) gives you 2 months free. You can change plans at any time.

Security & Custody

Is it safe? Who holds my Bitcoin?

Very safe. Non-custodial architecture means Bitcoin goes directly to YOUR wallet. We never hold your funds or private keys. You maintain complete control of your Bitcoin.
